Call Out 11/21: After our three location “socially distanced”’monthly training sessions, we had a call out to Mayar this evening. Conditions were particularly challenging and the casualties, although somewhat cold and wet, were successfully located and helped off the mountain.
As we come out of lockdown in the next few weeks, if you are venturing into the mountains, please make sure you have the equipment, kit and the knowledge for a day out. Check the weather and make sure that you have the time and experience to complete the walk.
If you do get into difficulty, please phone 999, ask for the Police, then Mountain Rescue.
Tayside Mountain Rescue Team is made up entirely of volunteers who live in the operational area. A wide variety of professions can be found in the Team. All are skilled and experienced mountaineers. Team Members are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to help anyone who is in trouble in the mountains.
